Every defect that escapes your line costs more than the one before it.
Every defect that escapes your line costs more than the one before it.
A scratch caught at the paint booth costs minutes to rework. The same defect caught at the dealership costs a customer. Caught in the field, it costs a recall. Manual inspection — human eyes, paper checklists, 2-second decisions on a moving line — is structurally incapable of catching what the next stage will eventually find. CamCom catches it at the source.

Human eyes weren't built for production-line speed.
On a moving line, a quality inspector has seconds to assess a vehicle, then the next one arrives.
Fatigue, lighting variance, subjective calls between shifts — the result is inconsistent detection, missed micro-defects, and a quality record that depends on which inspector was on duty.

What you can't measure, you can't manufacture consistently.
Gap and flush variation between panels. Dimensional drift across batches. Inclination misalignment.
These aren't visual defects — they're geometric ones.
Manual gap gauges and 2D camera systems give you variance instead of measurement.
The data is too noisy to make engineering decisions.

A 50-micron defect today is a warranty claim next year.
Dust-in-paint. Orange peel. Parting lines. Underbody leakage. Defects measured in microns — invisible to a human inspector at production speed — surface as warranty claims, customer complaints, and reputation damage long after the vehicle has shipped
The cheapest place to catch a defect is where it's made.

Physics, not pattern matching
Conventional machine vision looks for patterns it was trained on.
The CamCom Al World Model understands the physics of how paint cures, how metal warps, how panels deflect.
That's why accuracy holds in real factory conditions – variable lighting, reflective surfaces, line vibration – where pattern-matching systems break down.

MES-native, line-speed
Inspection in as little as 20 seconds per vehicle.
Real-time pass/fail decisions written directly into your MES, with full defect traceability, root-cause flags, and predictive maintenance signals.

Paint — Every dust mote. Every orange peel. Every micron.

Dimensional — From a 0.5mm flush deviation to a full cabin alignment.

End-of-line — The last 30 seconds before a customer takes delivery.

And everywhere else a defect could escape.

Tier-1 Supplier QA
Inspection at supplier dispatch and OEM goods- receipt. Cross-validated defect records flow directly into supplier performance dashboards.

Commercial Vehicle & Truck
Production-validated at Volvo Hoskote for cabin gap, flush, and dimensional inspection. Configurable for cab-over-engine and conventional architectures.

Off-Highway & Special Vehicles
Tractors, construction equipment, defence vehicles. The same defect taxonomies, recalibrated for larger surfaces, harsher coatings, and lower-volume lines.

Any Manufactured Surface
The Al World Model extends to any production environment where surface defects, dimensional accuracy, or visual quality determine output value.
“If your line isn't on this page, that's the conversation. The platform extends to the inspection problem your factory is already solving — manually, expensively, inconsistently — today.”

Physics over pixels.
Not a vendor relationship. A line-side capability.
CamCom is not a vision product you procure and integrate. We deploy, calibrate, and operate the inspection capability on your line — and bill on inspection volume, not licence seats.

Volvo Trucks — Laser-Based Dimensioning
Challenge:
Existing 2D camera-based gap measurement showed unacceptable repeatability variance — readings sensitive to lighting, reflections, edge detection, and camera angle/parallax. Same cabin, same inspection point, different number. Manual gap gauges added inspector-dependent variance on top. The quality data wasn't stable enough to drive engineering decisions.
Solution:
Two-phase PoV. PoV-1 established the 2D camera baseline and documented its variance problem. PoV-2 deployed laser-based robotic dimensioning — dual KUKA KR 20 R3100 robots on 17.4m linear tracks, each carrying laser profiling sensors — and measured the same inspection points with the new approach.
Throughput:
For a 14m-length cab-over-engine cabin, full multi-point inspection in ~5 minutes with dual-side parallel operation. Cycle time mathematics published and auditable: 3 seconds per spot + 6–6.5 seconds per metre of robot travel + 10–20 seconds fixed overhead per side. Footprint: 220.5 sqm (10.5m × 21m, guardrails included) per inspection station.
